The place

A newly renovated condo on the fourth floor of Atrium II, a 245-unit tower rising over Yonge and Sheppard. The home comes with a northwest-facing view as well as a buffet of shared amenities. It’s a short drive from Earl Bales Park and the 401 and is within walking distance of Yonge’s many shops, restaurants and transit connections.

The history

The largest corner unit in the 40-year-old complex, this condo hit the market last September for the first time in almost 20 years. Its new owners held the property for just three months—updating the decor, kitchen and flooring—before listing it again in December. Realtor Rudy Reznik says that the spot is mostly attracting interest from downsizers who want all the character of a bungalow with none of the yard work.

The tour

Atrium II stands on the peaceful Spring Garden Avenue.

Inside, floor-to-ceiling closets line the foyer, which hooks right toward the living area or left toward the bedrooms.

The open-concept space is something to see: 1,000 square feet, gallery-like lighting, dramatic feature walls and great views of the neighbourhood.

Here’s the revamped kitchen, with a new four-seat breakfast bar, hardwood cabinets, stainless steel appliances and veined marble everywhere.

Turn around and you’re in the dining area.

A mosaic feature wall anchors the living area, inspired by both modernist and contemporary design.
